Gatekeeper - Let Go

My first experience with Skull Disco was 004. The artwork's mysticism caught my attention right away. And the music, a soundscape of heavy, rattling, percusives, and throbbing, enveloping bass, drew me into something with a sense of purpose. Since then, the Skull Disco sound has become an ever present addiction in my daily life. I've grown to appreciate the minimalism, the idealism, and the artistic merit each release has. As each record released is unique, yet definable. The latest offering (or possible offering) from the Skull Disco crew is Gatekeeper's "Let Go." Deep, melodic, urban. Simplistic. Kick drums, snare hits, bass kicks, rising strings, obligatory female (alicia keys) vocals, singing, echoing, "I keep on falling...falling...falling..."

Audio can be found Here. In Peverelist's mix (which is fantastic) for that Art of Beats radio show based in Vancover.

*So I guess Appleblim is no longer a part of Gatekeeper. He's a solo artist now, and "Let Go" isn't coming on Skull Disco...not a problem, tune is still large regardless. Here's Gatekeeper's Myspace Page
